The City Leadership Forum series concludes for the Spring on June 9th with Pat Lawler and the topic of Data.

Patrick W. Lawler has served as chief executive officer of Youth Villages since the organization’s beginning in 1986.

Under his leadership, Youth Villages has grown from two small residential facilities serving 40 youth in Memphis to a national leader in the child welfare community. The organization now serves over 17,000 families every year and has established over 60 locations across 10 states and the District of Columbia.

In 2006, Lawler was recognized as one of “America’s Best Leaders” by U.S. News & World Report in conjunction with the Center for Public Leadership at Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government. He also is one of the select few professionals in the nonprofit sector inducted into the prestigious Society of Entrepreneurs. The other selected professional is former Forum Featured Guest Dr. Scott Morris.

Lawler believes the investment into and priority they have placed on mining the data of their field has given them incredible amounts of knowledge. This knowledge has powered their ability to consistently make the right decisions for 25 years.

Come hear more about this trade secret at the June Forum.
