Last Wednesday Churches for Children kicked-off with an introductory lunch.

Twenty-five churches from around Memphis came to hear about how they could help 28 children that are currently in the state’s custody.

These adolescents have many hopes and dreams, but primarily they dream of one day being part of a forever family. The statistics show that aging out of foster care is detrimental to a child’s success as an adult. If even a small fraction of the 3,000 churches in Memphis could be the mouth piece for one of these children, just think…

We could be known as The City Without Orphans.

We are resourcing churches with everything necessary to get the word out on their child.

As of right now we only need 5 more churches to stand in the gap for these kids.

As we enter into National Adoption Month, please consider being a part of Churches for Children.
